Each link is approximately 2" in diameter but does vary
Each quantity order equals about three (3) feet.
1-2 feet is fine to hang multiple items from. Great to use as a chain type bird toy, the 2 mm leather or plastic string or Paper Twist is great to tie other items onto it.
