Create this easy to make foraging toy for your Bird.

What you will need: one Wiffle Ball, 1ft of 1.3mm Chain, one SM Pear link, one 16mm O-ring, 1/4oz. Crinkle paper, one 32mm Liberty Bell.

This toy is customizable, want to add a duckie instead of a bell? Want to make it a double decker or even a triple decker (get longer chain)? Go for it!

While browsing the store to make this fun toy, make sure you add some Treats to the cart. Your Bird will thank you for your thoughtfulness...

Start out by threading the chain through the wiffle ball (make sure you do this first, otherwise you will not be able to get the chain through the ball after the crinkle paper is added and you will have to start over. Dont ask us how we know this).

Next you open with pliers the o-ring and add the bell (or other dangling item) to it. At the same time, add the o-ring to one end of the chain then close the o-ring with the pliers.Add the pear link to the end of the other side of the chain (now the chain is not able to slide out (again, please don't ask how we know this!).

The final step is to take about 1/4oz of the crinkle paper (it is sold in 2oz increments so you will have enough to refill this toy a number of times as long as the wiffle ball holds up. This is a heavy duty ball, we won't go as far as saying it's bird proof. The only thing we know that would be bird proof is a block of titanium, besides that everything else is destructable in a parrots beak!) through the holes in the ball. We found using the points of the pliers or a butter knife works great.

Now hang in your feathered friends home and let the fun begin!
